Robert Morgan |
Robert Morgan is principal oboe of Music of the Baroque and Chicago Philharmonic Orchestra, and is solo English horn and assistant principal oboe of the Lyric Opera of Chicago Orchestra. He is a frequent soloist with numerous area orchestras and musical organizations, and has performed at the White House with Music of the Baroque and in Maryland with members of the Guarnieri Quartet.
A graduate of Indiana University, Mr. Morgan also studied with Ray Still, Marc Lifschey, and John Mack. He is a proponent of new music, and has commissioned works by Ilja Hurnik, David Schrader, and Jon Polifrone. Mr. Morgan coaches chamber music at Northwestern University and maintains a private studio.
