Mary Stolper
FLUTE

Music of the Baroque’s newly-appointed principal flutist, Mary Stolper is also principal flute of the Grant Park Orchestra, Chicago Opera Theater, and Fulcrum Point New Music Project. She is in demand as a soloist and chamber musician, and has performed with numerous ensembles including the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Lyric Opera of Chicago Orchestra, Chicago Sinfonietta, Chicago Chamber Musicians, and in the “Live from WFMT” radio broadcasts and Ravinia Recital Series. Dedicated to the performance of women composers’ music, Ms. Stolper made her Carnegie Hall recital debut with two Chicago women composers/performers. She is currently chair of the flute faculty at DePaul University, where she has taught since 1986.
