Collins Trier BASS

A member of the Lyric Opera Orchestra since 1980, Music of the Baroque’s principal bass, Collins Trier is also principal bass of Contempo, Present Music, the Ravinia Festival Orchestra, Rembrandt Chamber Players, Bach Week, Fulcrum Point New Music Ensemble and Chicago Opera Theater. He performs frequently with the Chicago Symphony and the Chicago Philharmonic Orchestras and is very active as a studio musician.

Collins Trier also specializes in pop and folk music, and has toured with numerous Broadway productions. As a performer on hammered dulcimer, he has recorded a disc of his own music entitled “Rain” on Northport Records.
