Baroque and Classical era musicians often composed “on demand” for wealthy noble, church, and royal patrons. Join us as Jane Glover and the Music of the Baroque Orchestra explore works by Haydn, Mozart, Bach, and Handel, including the Haffner and Farewell Symphonies, a sparkling suite from the Water Music, and the First Brandenburg Concerto.

Dan Maki will give preconcert lectures on Sunday, January 24, at 6:30pm at the DoubleTree Hotel adjacent to the North Shore Center (Athens Room) and on Monday, January 25, at 6 pm at the Chicago Cultural Center (Randolph Square).
