Aimee recalls Jakub Józef Orlinski's April 2018 Chicago debut

I first heard Polish tenor Jakub Józef Orlinski in April of 2018 during MOB's "Concertos for Voice" program. I had a horrendous cold and cough, but desperately wanted to hear Vivaldi's Nisi Dominus and Pergolesi's Stabat Mater. My husband gave in, but had me buy a huge package of cough drops. I have never heard such a beautiful voice, with very few exceptions—I was completely entranced. My only regret was that my husband insisted that we leave immediately after the concert, and I could not tell him personally what a magnificent talent he was. I have since followed his career and seen him grow into that talent. I hope he will return to sing in Chicago again. My thanks to MOB for bringing him to my notice.
